Transformers Classics 2.0 Cyclonus

Well well, after all my gagging and whining, I picked Cyclonus up yesterday along with my Gold Ranger. I was really looking forward to this figure, cool robot and vehicle mode in the movie, and when the prototype pics came out I was amazed how they updated the figure so it looks like the movie.

Cyclonus (Vehicle)

Very G1, that's all, the sculpt is there, the color is bleh. I know a lot of people are talking about the purple being too dark, but I think it works well. The wings are molded light grey, but I would've liked it silver. Some parts are painted maroon, the cockpit is translucent red. There are some dark greys, but it's not that heavily used until robot mode. Cyclonus has three landing gears also.

Cyclonus (Robot)

I really wish I could translate how to transform him, but they way I do it would probably be confusing. I do have to say it's interesting. Instead of pull down shin assembly, they actually are two halves. The swing down and click together. They aren't flimsy too, and they hold up great. Articulation is good, swivel neck, shoulders, forearms, wrist, and thighs. He has hinged shoulders due to transformation, hinged biceps, elbows, knees, and feet. And of course ball joint hips. Sculpt is still pretty nice. He has that Cyclonus looks with the bunny ears, so he's not mistakable as someone else. Also to note his thighs have two different greys. The top half is light grey, and the bottom half is more brown grey. Nothing too distracting, but it's there. The light-piping is phenomenal. Just put him in front of your computer monitor, and he shines perfectly. Like the movie, he is taller than Classics 2.0 Galvatron, but not by much. And may I say, I don't see any kibble what-so-ever, everything fits in place that are accurate to the G1 look.

Nightstick (Cannon)

His alternate mode is a...cannon? More like a gun, but that's what they call it. Easy transformation. From robot mode, flip is toes up, flip the barrel from his back up, and then just fold his torso joint and then the hips up. Pretty, nice mode I guess, nothing special though. In this mode he have various ways to attach to Cyclonus. First his peg attaches as a hand gun ONLY in his RIGHT HAND. Then you can flip wither fist in and it has a slot, and the end of the cannon has a peg, so it can attach into an arm cannon. Trust me, it doesn't hold up well. It's either the slot is a bit too deep into the "block", or the two other cannons on top in the mode is hindering from going all the way in. Once you peg it in and it stays, don't touch it ever again...but it really doesn't matter, it's just an addition, the instructions don't talk about it.

Nightstick (Robot)

Just follow the reverse of the instructions above. It's a nice robot mode. Articulation wise and sculpt. Swivel shoulders and hips, hinged elbows, toes and torso, from transformation. I like little transformers because they look nifty and it amazes me how they get the detail in such a small guy.

This 2 for 1 pack is great. I really like Targetmaster, and being very G1 accurate without killing the whole idea, that's awesome. I hate to say this, because I'll probably get basked from other collectors, but Cyclonus is thus far one of the most perfect figure. 10 out of 10.

Power Rangers Super Legends Gold Ranger

GO GO POWER RANGERS!....

Yeah, awesome stuff back then, kind of still awesome today. anyways who remembers the Gold Ranger? Well incase you didn't he was in Power Rangers Zeo, all the shapes and what not. I'm not going to go into the whole thing of how this happened and who did what...but the Gold Ranger originally was Trey of Triforia, in which he was the Prince I believe, of Triforia. The other person to don the Gold Ranger suit was Jason the Red Ranger. Alright enough of that, if you want to know more they have a Power Rangers Wiki on the 'net.

The figure is pretty cool. Nothing at all looks updated from the old suit, so it's basically an update, and that's great. He has more articulation than previous versions, that I am aware of. Swivel head, ball hinged shoulders, hinged elbows and knees, swivel hands and upper thighs, ball hinged hips. He's pretty articulate, just enough to get in some good poses. The paint is great, not much bleeding, only the belt, but it's only a bit. The sculpt is definitely one of the best. The collar, chest, forearm, and shin details are good. He's not overly muscular too, he's just like the show. Now that is without his chest armor...

The armor is very show accurate. It's removable in two pieces. The back half has two pegs that attach to the back where they screw the torso together. The front half pegs onto the top shoulder holes of the armor. It doesn't interfere in any articulation. He has another accessory, the staff. It's also sculpted well, maybe the handles is a bit big, but he probably can't hold it if it was thin. The downside is it's painted all silver. No gold, black, or anything like the show, bummer...

All in all, he is really a Super Legend and a Super figure. If you can find him pick him up immediately. He's likely on sale from after Holiday Sales. I got mine at Walmart for $5. 9.5 out of 10, great everything, except some missing paint for show accuracy.

Also a update of DCUC Despero series. You know how they are photoshopping Megan Fox to be Wonder Woman? Well the figure resembles her a bit. Also I finally got Cyclonus, maybe some review tomorrow. Here's the pic of Megan Fox as Wonder Woman:

I don't know if you see it, but I do, maybe Foxy's head is a bit small, anyways DTM outz...

Happy Happy New Year

First post of the New Year. Nothing much going on today, bored out of my mind. Started a War Machine yesterday, and I'm still stuck with all his weaponary. I mean the guy is built from all weapons and he is a weapon. So I just don't know where to put it on such a "small" body. The body is Savage Dragon, and legs are reused from my older War Machine. I have tons of weapons I stripped from the old one, because I made that when I was horrible at customizing...I think I progressed .1% from before. Anyways I just need a plan to place the weapons and I'll paint him up.

http://www.thecomiccrypt.us/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1513

Here are my new customs, starting with page 3. The first two pages are older customs, in which you can see the old War Machine. The new customs are HISS Tank Driver, Cobra Commander, Original Armor Design Iron Man, and my unnamed Spider Man, who is actually the brother of Vulcan Spider Man (on page 1). Vulcan himself is somewhat different. Flat black, different color scheme, etc...

Happy New Year, and hopefully I'll actually have updates and write up some more reviews. DTM outz...
