TRU Crimson 3 Pack Exclusive

Hey everyone, I will be reviewing the TRU Crimson Exclusive. Hopefully these are still at your TRU, mine sold out of these, but they do have the blue Cobra Commander with the Standard Troopers and the GI Joe 3 pack.

Well this exclusive is part of the 25th Anniversary. It contains the Cobra Commander, Crimson Guard Trooper, and Crimson Guard Officer. They are packed in these clear plastic tubes, with a shelf like cardboard for the back and bottom. It's a nice packaging, but one giant hassle to open, A lot of tape and what not.

The Cobra Commander is a rerelease of the first series Commander. It's just painting a different color, the majority of the new paint is the crimson red, his gloves, boots, gun, and various pockets are painted black. His belts are gold, the glove trimmings are silver as well as the Cobra Symbol on his chest. The cool thing is that he can store his weapon just like the old toy, on his back. The articulation is a Ball joint: head, hips, torso, Ball hinged: shoulders, elbows, ankles, Swivel: forearm, Double Jointed: knees. It's a nice figure if you don't have this mold version of the Commander.

The Crimson Guards both use the same mold, with different paint. For the Crimson Guard Trooper his color scheme is, crimson red for the majority of the body, black shoulder pads with silver, the rope that goes around the right arm is gold. He has silver trimmings on his forearms, and black gloves. His head has a silver crest on the helmet, silver visor and black mask. His chest has a really good sculpted badges with silver, red, blue and purple. His buttons around his shirt are silver. The belt is black, as well as his boots. His pants have 2 silver lines running down his leg. The buttons on his boots are silver too.

For the Officer his color scheme is the same except the mask and crest on his helmet is gold, the visor is black. The chest is black, the shoulder is the same with the gold replacing silver. The belt is gold, the lines on his pants are gold, and the buttons are gold. His forearm stripes are gold too.

The accessories are the same, both have well sculpted back packs, with ridges and a cobra emblem. The guns look like a revolver and a battle rifle with a knife hooked on the end. They can store the revolver in his holster, it is kind of loose, but it can fit.

It's a nice pack to get, around $15 (I think, I lost my receipt it was a long time since I got it). Great army builder too. I really like the Siegies, they are cool looking. This set is good, so get it before it sells out.
