Hound and Ravage Review

Here for another review, this time it's Hound and Ravage, or Ravage and Hound. I did return the Batman Beyond from yesterday, played with it for a night because I thought I fixed it.I planned on not returning him, but this morning who decided to snap? The fricken' leg! I gave up and got Ravage and Hound. I was about to buy Cyclonus and Nightstick/ beat (Forgot his name)... Anyways yeah...Ravage and Hound, the outdated oversized cassette tape and jeep.
Hound (Vehicle)

Standard military jeep, I'm guessing. Vehicle mode is looking good. Very reminiscent to the G1 counterpart, just updated a bit. He's a nice dark lime green. Windshield, and head lights clear blue. The lights on top of the windshield and under the headlights are yellow, tail lights red. The has a gunmetal bumper, sides and back bumper. Dashboard, wheels, and something behind the seats are black. The seats themselves are white. There is a white star in the right front. He has two black prongs that can fold flat or vertical. They attach to Ravage's cassette spools in tape mode. The two things behind the seats has little slits that his hologram gun to attach too.

Hound (Robot)

Fold seats down, pull the back half out, and fold the black things behind the seats down. Fold down "trunk" area down and you have his feet. Yay, Half way there! Now stand him up...fold the two arms out and turn them 180 degrees down, fold out the fist. Grab his wheels and extend them out. His waist assembly will fold down then fold up for his, er... underwear? Well, then fold the whole front jeep part down. Fold his head into the front so it clicks. Take the windshield and push it forward, the wheels have two hinges and they fold behind the head.

His robot mode looks good, the articulation fits well with him. Ball joint shoulders, head, and hips. Swivel thighs, hinged elbows, knees and from transformation ankles. The ankles also have rocker joints that move from side to side. Now that is possibility...His Hologram Gun can fit in either hand, and also attaches to his shoulder like the original one. Color scheme stays the same. More black in the arms and legs, yellow appears a bit more. The autobot symbol is found on the car hood, as same as the vehicle mode. The star is also still visible. I find this transformation neat, like the seats folding to become his thighs.

Ravage (Cassette)

He is a new mold. Really nice mold though, looks like the old Ravage, except the appearance due to the new transformation. Pretty nifty though, I really like this mode. Some gunmetal on the sides, and the Deception symbol on the "front".

Ravage (Ravage)

The "front" has the Deception symbol, so lets begin there. The two silver sections, pull them out, they become the front legs. Flip him over, and fold those gunmetal sections out, those become the back half. Fold out the thighs of Ravage from the back, and his head is placed in the middle of the cassette. Pull his head out, pull the front legs down and the back legs up and then in the back pull his tail out. Please level him out, sometimes he just looks funny with that big butt poking out, the thighs and back should be about the same level.

His Ravage mode looks nice. His shoulders looked hunched over for a menacing looks. His eyes are red, and not much else. He has two rockets, hinting at his G1 version, but it is reported the old rockets can fit in the cassette spools. Articulation is all due to transformation. Knees, neck, shoulders, hips, and tail are hinged. The thighs have swivel. Really cool mode.

Nothing much else. This is a great set. Two figures in one. I would recommend this one. Though I'm hearing Cyclonus is good, so he might top this set. 9 out of 10 for this one. DTM Outz..

Long time no see...REVIEW TIME!

True, long time no see. doubt anyone missed me. Anyways I got DCUC Despero Wave today. Reviews are going to be short, not like those super long ones, which I struggled to finish.

Wonder Woman- The old decent articulation of DCUC figures. She's in the outfit as above, 'cept not as many stars on the panties, high heels instead of flat, not as shiny and of course to glitter. Mattel will charge you twice as many for glitter... She's about the average height of regular male DCUC figures. She comes with an axe with the Wonder Woman Ws in the shape of an eagle. Also a shield with eight stars and something that looks like a sun in the middle. The axe works best in her right hand, as for my figure, the shield can clip on either wrist and it has a peg for rotary action! No I just kid, it can spin though...Am I missing anything, you ask? No I'm not, the Golden Lasso is not removable, it's glued onto her waist. No worries, making one shouldn't be to hard, it's just I haven't gotten time to make it.

Cyborg- Still same articulation as the others. Same appearance as above (Chain not included). A lot of sculpting to make this guy. He's one of the best detailed in the whole series. He comes with two accessories. A thing and...another thing? I have no idea what to call them. A claw that can shoot stuff I'm assuming, it has a little nozzle in between the claw grips. The other thing looks like a USB Drive. maybe it shoots stuff too. It has three little nozzles as well. The right fist pops off to accommodate either of the two. The left fist does not, so he can USB and claw people at the same time. Damn...

Captain Atom- Same POA. Same as pictured above. This is the "variant", but i see more of these than the silver, actually I saw one silver and four gold. He seems to shiny in the pic, This figure isn't in chrome by the way...Well this one was so easy for mattel. No sculpt on the body what so ever. Great for customs, bad for the figure. The red lines don't line exactly with the others. For say, line the front shoulder to the torso and the lines running across his shoulders don't line to the back. The boots and gloves are a nice shiney red. Not to be mean to the figure but he needs help in the paint department. He looks fine when in package and then open him up and turn him around, he's scraps all over. Lines don't match up. I see it's a hard thing to do to not have any carved in guideline for the painter to use. Pose wise he is awesome, nothing like armor or cloths get is the way. For me the left fist feels like it's tight and about to tear off, so no upper cuts from that hand.

Ares- Same POA as all of them. I wish they had more pictures to pick from but this is the most like the figure. The figure has skulls on his knee pads as well, not the design shown in the pic. The helmet seems a bit small compared to the figure. The figure has the helmet that's just big enough to give him a hulking look. Also the cape in the pic...that's bull, the figure features the best cape ever, a stiff, non flowing cape, it can't get better than that! The figure also has hooks on his waist, I'll talk about it later... Well yeah, this guy is my favorite out of the series. Great, no excellent, wait, not quite, superb? I think so... The chest armor has dents in it like it was made from the black smith, plus it has scratches in it. The helmet is bloody cool (no pun intended). Horns, coiled with snake like things, designs that looks cool. The horse brush on top is somewhat flexible, it is molded so the end sweeps to the left. I really like the skulls on his forearms. Really cool. How can he be the god of war without weapons? He comes with an axe and a long sword. Both painted with silver, black handles, and seems like Sapphire jewels embedded in the blades. The handles are dry brushed silver. Now the hooks... the axe has one of those "leather" loops so you can wrap it around his wrist, like Thor's hammer. Well he can't wrap it around his wrist, it can hook onto the hook and hand there. Either one is good. The sword is left to carry in his hand. I can't see how to hook it on anyways. On the value side he's the bigger DCUC in the series.

Batman Beyond- Looks like the body of Captain Atom with the little spikes coming out his forearms. I can't fully review him. Both of his legs snapped off, after super tight hip joint. He's all shiny black. He's not like the pictured picture above. He was either pumping iron or steroids. He comes with a little batarang. I tried fixing his hips, but it would stick, there was all this grease in the joint. I'm returning him tomorrow for another one. Hoping it would bet better.

Despero- Huge, big, elephant, walrus, pink. Whatever you may, he's bulky. Pictures of him are limited on the Internet. He's supposed to be wearing a cape, or ripped shirt, pants, or an orange jumpsuit. I guess the figure is based off the toy above. He comes with a pistol and a rifle. The rifle can attach to his back via a clip and the pistol hangs from a holster from his belt. My Despero is left armless. Thanks a lot Batman Beyond... I don't know but my right shin/knee joint is actually a left one. He's kind of hard to make him stand.
My first near completed DCUC wave and they look pretty cool. These are on sale at Target for $8.99 each. Two dollars cheaper than normal price. Out of the whole Despero Series, I really like Ares, he alone is worth it. If I didn't know, I would've just bought him alone and maybe Wonder Woman. My only thing to watch out if parts, Some are not attached correctly, and soon you'll have two right biceps. My Ares has two inverted biceps, no big though. I rate this series 8.5 out of 10. A good line up of figures, the accessories fit well with the characters. Hope you enjoy this review, and i hope it's an improvement of my previous reviews. Thanks. DTM Outz...
(On a side note, I did not write this review on November 9th. It just happens I edited an old draft and the date seems permanent. Today is December 30th...)

GI Joe Round Up

I have no idea what I got, or if I mentioned it from previous post. I'm not updating as much and too lazy to hit the back button to check. Though I did get the Trouble Bubble and the GI Joe Motorcycle Two-Pack. Not sure if I reviewed that...Then this Giant-ass Walmart Supercenter opened near me. I mean it's big, who ever saw Walmart with a grocery store in it (please, I know many have, but this is my first time, I know it's sad...)? Well they were packing there. I got the IG and IG Destro comic pack. Plus it seems they are really stocked up and they had the new wave of the rereleases. So I picked up Snake Eyes when I saw him, last one too. I feel bad I didn't get him when he was first released...

Oh well...Well back on track, the Vehicle Two Pack is nice. It's Cpl. Breaker I believe with a motorcycle, yep, it's boring the way I put it. He comes with a side gatling gun, that attaches to the right side of the vehicle. On both sides he has two removable and opening storage cases. One is already stocked with a pistol. He has some sturdy issues. His tail piped are a bit loose if it's just picked at. No prob just a nit pick. The figure itself is Snake Eyes' Torso, waist, and lower legs, Duke's arms, and thighs, and the Cpl. Breaker head which is HUGE! I bet one headbutt by him and you'd be knocked out. He comes with Snake Eyes Webgear with the pistol included and the giant helmet for his noggin'. He didn't come with the featured radio head set or backpack, but I guess that's ok with all the features.

The Trouble Bubble, or Cobra Flight Pod if you must, is nice. It has a opening dome and flip down controls. It has missiles on the side that are removable. Nothing much about it, just a good vehicle. It comes with a Tele- Viper. It's made from the Cobra Viper stripped to it's base. The new stuff is the head and I believe the vest is new. Unlike Viper's hands, it's suitable for controlling the Bubble. My only complaint is he didn't come with the mine. It'd be a nice accessory since he doesn't come with one (I don't count the Bubble as an accessory).

Stickers- pain in the ass. You know how they put half the stickers on? Well watch out for that. Some are uneven, some are sloppy. It's hard to compare when stores put one case out per shelf, I think. Atleast that's the way I see it. The only thing to watch out for is the uneven Cobra Symbol on the Trouble Bubble. It may not be centered correctly. The sticker should atleast have cuts to fit the roundness of the bubble. The missile stickers either stick or not. One missile sticker didn't stick, just coat the sticker back with superglue and hold it tight until it sticks, it won't be fast either. I held it for atleast 10 minutes.

Nice set none the less. This set is mostly communication soldiers, and the vehicles are nice. I can't really think about anything else to say. The vehicles are made for other figures that have a thin "groin" section. Early version had "panties" while later releases have "thongs", you get the idea... Well it's a great set none the less. Go get it, but make sure of the flaws I told you about. DTM outz...

Universe Classics 2.0 Galvatron

"Galvatron is a bitch. Ok I am done..."

Yeah that's what I said on OAFE. First impressions? Yeah...

Well Galvatron is based on a tank in this version. His G1 version was a "standing cannon", which doesn't clarify it any better. The tank mode is nice. It's molded a plastic grey, some silver paint is applied on some panels, the treads are black. His cannon is a nice translucent orange. Which is a nice homage to the G1 version. It shoots out a translucent orange missile. It doesn't shoot far or strong enough to knock any thing over (except some cardboard...). On the cannon base it says "GALV-25", signifying Galvatron and the upcoming 25th anniversary line. He also has a missile housing for 6 missiles. The detail on the tank is amazing. Again he has some panels of a real tank, some intakes. In the back sides he has 2 molded missiles on the left and right side. The treads are sculpted well.

Transforming him is a pain, so when ever you get him, you'll know...My only advice is to snap off the right arm off. It's one of those joints where it just fits in a hole and pretends to be secure. I'd add the arm after you're done the other transformation. People say the left arm easily snaps off? Well I just hold the arm peg and the purple shoulder and hold it between my thumb and finger, and just bend it out. People want to just bring it down, that won't happened if you don't want it to break.

His robot mode is ok looking. It grew on me a bit. He has a bit of homage to the G1 Galvatron. You will see his head, duh...The three crowned head, His "4 pack" abs. The body is mostly grey, from the tank, but some purple show up on the left shoulder, head, torso, forearm/ hand, and the feet. For some reason I noticed Hasbro put these bright orange plastic on him. In both modes rather. You'd expect it to be for the cannon only. All the orange is located at the joints of the figure. Like his wheels are orange because the can move. The only non orange parts are his knees and elbows. Some problems I faced at first was weak joints. The legs would flop, the arms swings around heavily. I just used my easy method by sticking paper between the joints. Speaking of joints he moves at the neck, elbows, bicep, waist, hips, thighs, "knees", and ankles. The knees are so high I don't know what they would be classified as. You see the thighs are supposed to be longer that the shin. Well in this case the shins are twice as long as the thigh. The knees are pretty high up...Also as a note in the instructions his left arm has this hook looking thing, that they say to pull out. It really has no significance really, maybe for a future attachment.

There is a secret transformation not mentioned in the instructions. From tank mode he has four "feet" You just pull them out and he's a standing tank. It's a nice homage, but it doesn't work in this case. It does look cool if you are blasting an Autobot or Starscream, since the cannon can't "look" up.

Like I said first impressions kill, it took me about 20 minutes just to change him back and forth the first time. Everything was swinging around. It wouldn't stand. All the crap of a KO figure if you will. Well just a bit of getting to know the figure and fixing up some of him and I am pleased with this figure. He's pretty cool, to me, but it's whatever you think. Based on the hundreds of reviews who gave him a low score (below 5). I'll give him an 8, he's not perfect, some parts of the robot are just clumped together for happy happy kibble. Until then, I'll be waiting for a Sideswipe to go along with my recently purchased Sunstreaker. Which will be reviewed sometime...DTM Outz...

Update on life...

Life is good, just chillin...Well I got some hauls recently. The first haul was two weeks ago, I got the Cobra Snow Serpent. I have been looking for him for awhile. He's pretty cool and I guess he was worth the wait. The second haul was last Saturday. My Kmart is having this whole reorganizing of the store and "older" toys are $2-$5 off. I got a Lego General Grievous's Starfighter as my mom insist I get it, cause she said if I wanted to get a $20 then waste money, (mine cost $16). It was my first SW Lego set, and it made a good impression. It's pretty cool.

I might use my phone to take some pictures and do a review. I finally know how to utilize the features... The pictures aren't that clear, but it's good enough to actually see the figure. Maybe tomorrow or some other day this week. I cut the grass today and my hands tend to shake vigorously, so I can't do anything, it's hard to even type this... Well see you guys later, DTM Outz...

Triple Changer and a Quad Changer!?!

I never saw the TFA series before, well not the whole series. I only watched one episode. The space bridge one, A Bridge Too Close? I don't know what it's called, but this is what got me to watch it: http://tformers.com/transformers_database/animated/344/shockwave_Decepticons_Voyager.html

This is the new upcoming Shockwave, I really liked the design as him as a double spy, it sounded interesting. He's like Noisemaze from Cybertron. When or if I find him he's going straight to my cart. I like how they tried to make him a different character. You see his autotbot head with human like eyes and the jam, then you see him as a one eyed decepticon. His hands turn form autobot human hands to long tentacle fingers. The "vehicle" modes are cool looking I guess. The Deception tank is looking cool, I don't know about the crane, it's just a standing tank to me...

See I like triple changers and crap, even this is a quad changer and it adds more value to me. Some of them make no sense like placement of parts (erm, Octane...). Sometimes I regret not getting Classic Astrotrain. I saw some reviews of Blitzwing, again i never saw him before except in that one episode...He looks decent. A tank, airplane and robot, it doesn't get more better than that.

In my whole collection I have a couple of triple changers. Cybertron Metroplex comes to me first. Classics Jetfire is a bit of that, it does have some armor to convert it into different versions of him. I swear I had more, but it probably doesn't come up right away...Well all in all I think triple changers are the bomb, the quad changer is cool too. Well I'll probably keep an eye out for them, until then see you guys later.

Oh damn, not again...

Well tomorrow I start school again, not so excited since I have last lunch... Somehow I switched homerooms. Wishing my friends switched too.
Well before I am off to school I purchased a few stuff, not for school, just for my entertainment. At TRU I finally got Lt. Stone. One of the hardest figures to find. Also they had Cobra Commander with the homage to the classic battle helmet, I might pick him up later. I found him and hid him behind all the Artic Snake Eyes and Zartans. I haven't been to TRU in a month so I was surprised to what i saw, New NECA stuff like God of War, Gears of War, all sorts of stuff. A lot of Iron Mongers and Titanium Men.

Well I headed towards the game section, again I haven't been there in a long time, so I looked around for 360 games. All in all everything was regular priced, except Virtua Fighter 5 and Need for Speed Carbon. I had Carbon for the regular Xbox (I use it as a DVD player now). I wanted to get the gamerscore for it but I didn't want an extra copy, so I got Virtua Fighter. Out of nowhere I got an email for TRU and they were having a sale for games $20 and up, buy one get one half off. I could've got Carbon, damnit! Oh well Virtua Fighter itself is worth the $20 for me. My favorite is Vanessa Lewis, a hot chick that can kill. I saw the other VF versino of her and she was African American. They lightened her skin, at my knowledge she's caucasian. Which fits her well, I customized her look with brunette hair, and all sorts of sexy aparrel. She can also hold a rocket launcher on her hips. Woot. My second favorite has to be Fei-Lei or Lei-Fei. I don't know which comes first, blah! He's a cool Shaolin monk that knows Kung Fu.
If I have time I might give you a Lt. Stone review tomorrow, I'm not making a promise though... Well see you guys later, I better get packing for school, damn I hate it so much...

Mosquitos of the past and an update

Well yesterday afternoon it was announced that my area would be sprayed with a mosquito pesticide to rid the West Nile Virus. They told us to close all the windows and cover ACs that connected to a window. Boy was it hot. They said they'd start at 8 at night to 12 midnight. They came to our area at 110 or so. I saw the planes when looking out the window. One plane past in the distance and followed by a second plane a bit closer to our house. Hopefully they actually did spray our area, because they said they are going for a second run tonight, they are stupid to not post a schedule for which county they are spraying for which day.

Well I am beginning to make a Cobra Rip It figure, but I also wanted to make something Bandai would make, like all those super detailed figures, like Kamenrider, Power Rangers. Other crap like I don't understand why they won't release them here. I'll probably make Rip It and make a HISS cockpit diorama, woot, always a first for me.

Well I guess that's about it for today. Picture of the day? yeah... I haven't been keeping up with that lately. I don't know what type of gundam this is, since I haven't watched the series in 7 years. So this probably is a super new one. He's the picture that is above this post a bit, I don't know how to format it on the bottom...Well, see you guys later...
(Somehow the picture comes up with a red x. Just click it and follow through the link, it should work, I promise you nothing scary will pop up, no bad stuff. I hate them so I wouldn't do it to you guys.)

Cobra Viper

This sucker has been waiting for me to get, oh wait, I have been waiting for him to arrive at the stores. I got this image from Creative Commons, so I think I'm safe...thanks to CG76 (photographer).

Well as you see he is pretty close to the original version. He's a bit taller, articulation is surpassed, and the sculpt is extensive rather than simple.

I have a bit more pictures, not from me, but from a guy named ultraprime2007, so thanks. as you see he has a removable vest, his goggles, back pack, and gun are also removable. The head is on a ball joint and pops off easily so you can slip the vest on easier. Now for the troubles of the figure. Overall I like the figure, very cool and updated. The sculpting is ok, the hands as you see are sculpted at a slant. I can understand why, but can't understand why it's sculpted like that, when other figures has straight wrist and can accommodate the weapons well. It's a bit of a struggle to hold the weapons, I hold it at the barrel, rather than the long handle at the end. It's nearly impossible. The hands are made from soft plastic so that makes it even more difficult. The second issue is the goggles. They are loose. They aren't as tight when you put them on. They tend to fall off easily. The foot pegs are moved up too. It's harder to put him on the base and on a HISS Tank. Rather than on a heel they are moved up to the toes. The feet sculpt restricts the ankle movement, so it's harder to get him balanced. His arms are like battle damaged Snake Eyes, his shoulder bends down at an angle. The right elbow is sculpted to the right, rather than under and straight. It's kind of stupid to me, he could have a regular elbow and still hold his gun. Other than all those issues, I don't know he's a likeable figure, but the issues aren't good when playing with him. You'll be having more time fixing him than playing. I'd give him a 7 out of 10. He's not ridiculously horrible, it's just the design...

Here is the classic episode of The Viper is Coming. It has nothing to do with this figure, but it's funny. It comes in two parts.

Well I hope you enjoyed. I know I'm just writing all of this for fun, maybe someone will actually read this. DTM out...

De Viper is comink...

hehe, classic episode...Antways I got t he figure yesterday at Walmart. I finally got him, after searching for 2 months after it was released. I'll probably review him tomorrow. If you read the other reviews of him on the internet, mine will most likely concur with theirs.

Olympics ended last night, well tonight. Other sites had to spoil the closing ceremony with all these pictures on the front page.

Well, I have been sitting in my computer chair for 30 minutes. I don't know I don't feel like typing much anymore. Maybe tomorrow with a review and then some sort of update.... Too hot to type I guess... well see you guys tomorrow

Cobra Legions 5 Pack

Well here is my long long review of the Cobra Legions 5 Pack. I'm just kidding it won't be that long. I have most of the figures and reviewed three of them or so, some in this set are just with different heads, and other stuff.

First off is Cobra Commander, I first reviewed him here:http://dtmfr.blogspot.com/2008/07/tru-crimson-3-pack-exclusive.html

The body is the same, except the head and colors. The head is the classic silver head with a helmet. The helmet is removable. The silver head/ mask reveals three circles in the back of the head. Maybe CC here puts wires in it or something. The helmet has raised "block" inside the helmet and it fits in the groove with the three circles so it won't fall off "easily", I don't see the point but if it helps for other people then so be it. The color of CC is all black, his mask, belt, and hands are silver. The glove edges, Cobra Symbol on his helmet and shoulders, belt buckle. leg strap buckle, shirt buttons, and gun holster on his back are all gold. His shoes are partial gold and his pants have a little line near the bottom that's gold too. I think I found my favorite Cobra Commander.

Second is Storm Shadow. He was reviewed here: http://dtmfr.blogspot.com/2008/08/storm-shadow-cloak-version.html

The body is the same except for the head and he has no cloak. Storm Shadow is in his usual white Gi. The parts where the Gi overlaps are painted red, so are the tips of the shoulders, and he has somesort of designed shape on his thighs. They aren't perfectly the same, one is bigger the other is smaller. The forearm wrappings are in a pattern with grey, tan and grey. The knees, and shin/ foot wrappings follow the same. knees are grey, shins are tan and feet are grey. His inner shirt is grey, and his head doesn't have the hood sculpted as the cloak version did. It's a classic Storm Shadow head, The head has a Cobra Symbol covering the front of the mask. It looks awesome. The accessories are the same, mostly, all the same swords and dagger, he now has a bow to go along with his quivers. The sword handles are red and black, and the dagger's handle is black, that's the way they should be painted instead of the bluish green...

The following three troopers are used with the same body, somewhat different accessories. I reviewed th Hiss Driver here: http://dtmfr.blogspot.com/2008/07/hiss-tank.html

The use the same body as his, so no need to do a second explanation. The first is a standard trooper. He has no crest in his helmet. The harness is like a suspender instead of having all those other pockets across his torso, he just has a belt and shoulder straps. Looks like it has a sculpted pistol in the right strap. The colors for the trooper is the standard blue, the knees, gun and boots are black. The suspenders are yellow with some silver and black. The clasp on his shirt is silver. The thigh straps for the knife is also yellow with silver. His hands are painted with human flesh paint. His mouth cover is red as well as the Cobra Symbol on his chest and he sports the bald Trooper look. The knife is silver with a black handle.

The Next is the Cobra "vehicle" driver. Even though his base clearly says he the Stinger Driver. The Stinger Driver is almost the same as the HISS Driver. The only difference is the helmet and paint. The helmet is no longer black, it's grey with a grey crest too. The harness has some red applications on the shoulders and the pocket to the far left. He has no more camo pants, it's just plain grey. He now has a grey Dargonuv rifle, and a non painted dagger, the handle is black, but the blade itself is the grey plastic it was molded in.

The next is the Cobra Air Trooper. He's sort of a mix between the two. The body is make of the Standard Cobra Trooper. The harness is molded yellow, but borrowed from the Stinger Driver. This trooper has a bigger helmet, looks like a silver gas mask with air filters on the side, black visors, and an oversized Cobra helmet. The knees are molded yellow instead of black. He has a peg hole that allows his to carry his jetpack. It has two hoses that bend from the middle piece into the two rockets. It has a Cobra Symbol printed on instead of a sticker. The back pack also has a hose the leads into his blaster which he can hold. Of course he can remove all of that and he comes with an extra helmet of a Stinger driver moulder in blue and a black Dragonuv, so he's a two in one figure.

One more, the box! When you open it it has a nice portrait of all the characters in this set, The background has all the Legions of Cobra with their respective troopers in front of them. From left to right, Storm Shadow has the Red Ninjas and Destro and Baroness are in the back as well. Cobra Trooper has Cobra Troopers. CC has Tomax and Xamot, and the Crimson Guards. The Stinger Driver has the Stinger Drivers and the Air Trooper has a group of Air Troopers. One note, behind the Regular Cobra Trooper background, there is a helmetless trooper, I wonder who he is...

Wasn't that a long review? I tried to shorten it buy using existing reviews of the same mold, but i guess it failed. Anyways, the low down of this set, it's a great set for army builders. Three troopers, how could you say no. Though I don't see the point of having another ninja and a commander. I have three Storm Shadows and two Cobra Commanders. So I might use those as Zartan's disguises. Just a quick swap out. I got this set for $11.99 at Ross and they had atleast 6 of them no the shelf, so don't go rushing out to find them they won't be leaving anytime soon. I say get this set, it's really cool, and the Air Trooper adds extra value to the set. IF you survived reading this, thank you...

Toy Haul

TFAC GI Joe 5 pack
TFAC Cobra Legions 5 Pack

I got these at Ross, and for $11.99 a set. It's pretty cheap, cheaper than the ones when bought at regular retail, it's like buy one get one free. I like all the figures. The Cobra Legions is probably my favorite, even though I have so many duplicates getting both sets. I have two Snake Eyes, two Storm Shadows, two Cobra Air Troopers, two Cobra Commanders, probably two Drivers. Scarlett is my favorite of the Joe set, I never got one so it's a nice addition. The Cobra Troopers only add to my army. Well that's all for tonight. Be safe, DTM outz...

Me in Progress, MiP

heh, that's right, I am working on a custom figure of myself. I'm using a Sota SF Ken figure, some foam and sculpt. I am almost done. I painted the whole body yesterday, and I might do the skin color since I messed it up badly already, damnit... For the foam I used it as sleeves and pant legs. My karategi and pants are longer than Ken's, so I put foam around the edge and it's flexible. The arms are cool since they are straight when the arms are down and straight when the arms are raised up. I made glasses out of twisty tie wire. It's really fragile, hopefully you won't sit in it and crush it. Paper clip wires are too, lets say thick. I might do a Chinese Character on my last name on the back, something like Akuma. I sculpted my hair and painted it black along with my ever so slow chin hair. heh. I look like some anime character with the glasses and hair. The head is Ken so no wonder...blah...

Well China is in the lead with 35 medals, U.S. has 34, South Korea has 16, Japan has 11, and Vietnam has 1. Oh well. Well I better get to work on the custom and then I am off to cleaning the house. I'll update tomorrow if I can...DTM out

South Korea: 5 gold, 6 silver, 1 bronze

I added Japan since they are pretty good at swimming

My second update is my Cobra Commander Drawing. Somehow it's located above...hope you like

Olympic Results

Here are the results as of now, not including the live events tonight.

China is leading with 6 golds and 2 silvers
U.S. has 2 golds, 2 silvers and 4 bronze
South Korea has 3 gold and 2 silver
Vietnam has 1 silver

I am only sticking with my favorites, so if you like any other countries don't whine to me that I forgot the rest. Sorry...

The U.S. beat China, but they put up a great fight and even though the U.S. got 101, the Chinese got 70. It would've been cool if China got 88. I am waiting for August 20th so I can start watching Tae Kwon Do, I never saw one yet. Well I'll update daily with the 4 teams above.

Right now I am working on a custom figure of myself. I am using an XMC Magneto, but I have no clue how I can pull that off. Maybe make sparring armor. Sculpt the face a bit, because I do not have a but cheek chin, blah! Sculpt some front spikes on the front and sculpt the cheeks flat instead of having sunken in cheeks. I am a sucker for foam so maybe do some pants and Gi instead of sculpt. The sculpt I use shrinks and cracks so when I fill in the crack it always leaves a layer that raises up so it's like wasting sculpt.

2008 Olympics

Wow, I mean the opening ceremony was awesome. I got chills up my spine watching it. The drumming was nice in the beginning when they counted down and then said Confucius's words. Another chill up my spine was when China came out at the end and got the huge ovation from the crowd.

China used very creative stuff, like the moving letter tiles in the middle, it moved like waves and droplets of water. The torch runner up in the ring of the stadium surprised me. I though he would just go up and light it, then he just started running around the whole Bird's Nest.

I wish they had this in vide so I could watch it again. I really liked it. For now, go China and Vietnam (and the U.S.) DTM Out...

Friday Update

GI Joe pics are coming out crazy!

The Pyramid Pack: http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=13327

TFAC Wave 6: http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=13328

TFAC Wave 7: http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=13331

Wave 7 is interesting and I might get most of those. I need me a Scarlett, and Flint. I have the Original TFAC Zartan, but hell this Zartan is down right awesome. Wave 6 has some of the best designs for a figure. I like the Paratrooper, Bazooka Trooper and Wraith. They look cool. The Pyramid pack isn't itching my wallet. The Snake Eyes looks strange.

The Olympics are on tonight. It's going to be awesome because it's in my home country of China, woot! Well my half home country. Go China!

I posted a picture of Reon Kadena, she's a really cute Japanese Model. I might be starting something new, like Picture of the week, or Music of the week, or Video of the week. Depends on what I find. I am going to review some stuff tomorrow and such. So stay tuned for that, but today is Music of the week, I surprised you didn't I? Well I'll leave you off with the song Mayonaise by The Smashing Pumpkins. The video is only the Siamese Dream cover, but they have lyrics off to the right hand side. Give it a listen, DTM out...

(sorry I don't know how to upload it on the page, click the link!)

Storm Shadow (Cloak Version)

The previous review was the battle damaged Snake Eyes, and doing the damage was Storm Shadow. Our favorite Cobra Ninja gets a review because he's that good, I think...

Storm Shadow here is in his usually white cloths, with some crimson red. His whole body is reused. Mostly all Cobra Ninjas use his body as a default. I have no idea if the head is new though. I think it isn't someone want to help here? Well anyways, his sculpt is good non the less. The Gi is traditional and the shin/ feet and wrist wrappings are ninja like. He has a belt that for some reason the notch goes to the side. In Tae Kwon Do it's usually or always in the front. He also has a hood and the white mouth cover. He's ninja ready!

The colors are all good, white Gi, pants and mask. The wrappings, belt, and hood are a nice crimson red. The belt also has some silver ninja stars. There is a red Arashikage symbol on his right arm and a Cobra symbol on his right side of his chest. The skin tone is very pale, probably to symbolize that he's Asian, since Asians are usually pale... nevermind it doesn't make sense I'm Asian and I'm not that pale. Only the hot Korean girl at school is kind of pale. Must not having that sunshine shining...

The articulation is regular, standard TFAC Joes. He can pull off ninja moves left and right. His accessories are what make him deadly though. I mean deadly. The guy is packed with weapons. He comes with a blue quiver and black two sheaths and they are on a belt so Storm Shadow can put it across his chest. The sheaths carry two swords and the quivers arrows are only for show, sadly enough... He comes with a bow though. It's really bulky, with some sonar crap on the end. It's a bluish green color with a bright yellow arrow. He also has a dagger in his waist belt. The handle is the same bluish green, as with all the sword handles. The blades of the sword and dagger are silver. The cloak is just sewn with a bright crimson red. It makes him look like little red riding hood. My only gripe about the accessories is that the sword and dagger handles are thin. They won't stay in his hand well.

He's a real good figure despite some weapon colors and problems. I mean a bright bluish green, who isn't going to see that from a ninja hiding. It sticks out from the dark. Either way, if you can pick up these versions you may be set for your Storm Shadow vs Snake Eyes scene.

Battle Damaged Snake Eyes

This Snake Eyes is part of the Comic Pack that includes Storm Shadow. Wait, what's that? There's two? Well this one is the battle damaged one. This Snake Eyes is like version 30 something. He has tons of figures over the years.

Snake Eyes is the same figure as the GI Joe 5 pack, except this one has a bit of minor sculpting on his chest and arms. They include rips and tears, and a nipple! heh...This is the Commando version so he has the goggles and the ski mask with six slits. I prefer the Visor version since that's the most iconic and he looks cooler, but since I don't own him yet, I will stick with this one until he is rereleased or whatever.

His body is sculpted nicely, it looks almost the same as the original figure. He has a sculpted sheath on his thigh for his machete/ knife. He has a removable harness that has a holster for his pistol, and I believe it is the same exact pistol that comes with Firefly. He has a man purse with the Cobra Symbol on it, maybe symbolizing, whatever is in this bag is for Cobra, it's hard to take it seriously calling it a man bag though. His right hand can hold the Uzi, though on my figure it looks like his hand is fully connected, so it's not open handed.

The paint is dark grey, but I think it looks blue at times. He straps, goggles, pouches, boots, and gloves are black. My figures leg strap on his left isn't fully painted, well it's painted then it fades into the grey, damn Hasbro why my figure? The little grenade on theharness is a bright lime green, isn't he supposed to be a ninja? Green is so easy to spot. The cobra symbol is red and the arashikage (I think that's what the symbol is) symbol is red on his right forearm. The guns are black as well as the knife handle. The blade is silver. The skin is that of a Caucasian with greyish scars. He must've been beat up pretty badly.

Articulation is the same old same old. He moves nicely and can pull of ninja moves. My only problem is the shoulder hinge. The shoulders are on a slant. Raise his arm straight so it levels with his shoulder, the bend it out wards to it looks like wings. You'll see the arm slant down, plus the joint is clearly seen on an angle. I have no idea if this is part of the style.

I really like this figure despite the faults. He's pretty cool looking. The whole battle damage is good. Rips, tears, everything. He's fit in well with any collection and face off against Storm Shadow. If you could get him get him, he's pretty decent.

TFAC Destro Review

Well I got Destro a while back when TFAC were starting to come out. I didn't really want to dish out the $25 and get the whole Cobra 5 pack, so I waited and got this guy. Destro is just a rerelease of the 5 pack, nothing much different, probably identical to my knowledge.

He's one of the tall figures, towering over Cobra Commander. The articulation is as follows, the neck, torso, and hips are ball jointed. The shoulder, elbow, and feet are ball hinged. The forearms are swivel and the knees are single hinged. He moves pretty decently. The single hinged knee is ok, but if they could make a double hinge for Serpentor why not Destro? Well it's one of those things with various answers...

The paint is good, the majority of his body is a dark grey. The head and gloves are silver. My figures gloves are chipping off, I have no idea why but I think it might be universal. His suspender, belt, and leg straps have some silver applications as well. The collar has some red in the inside, so does the missiles and grenades on his gloves. The dog tag and holster is red with some silver. His eyes are a lime green. The cool thing about the paint is that the belt seems dark grey but if you look closely it's black. It blends in so well. His chest is in a V so he does have some skin showing around the collar.

Detail is good, wrinkles of the cloths, ridges of the gloves, bolts of the helmet collar. The belts are is a checkered pattern look. The chain from the dog tag is seen clearly, and the face of Destro has that evil wrinkled face.

Accessory wise, this guy is packed. He comes with a pistol that fits in his holster, a glock, a SMG, a suit case, and another gun of some sort. The guns are all detailed, straight down to the ridges of a real gun. The gun that looks like a machine gun/ ray gun can fit in his suit case. The case has M.A.R.S. sculpted on the outside. Inside is a little peg to hold the gun, plus some sculpted ammo, cell phone and knife. The phone is painted silver, the rest of the accessories are black. His right hand is sculpted to hold the gun, and the left is sculpted to hold the suit case. So one weapon at a time.

He's a pretty cool figure, like all the TFAC it's all vintage but modernized. Destro fits right in with your Cobra collection. He'll be good arguing with Cobra Commander too. An Iron Grenadier Destro is coming in a two pack including a Iron Grenadier. TRU is having a IG Destro with two IGs. So depending on your preference you could get that Destro. I am going to get the TRU Pack, only because TRU make good army builder packs, like the Crimson Guard one. This figure is good non the less. Though you'll have t o buy the whole set, since I don't see anymore Destros around.

Happy Friday!

Hey guys, it's Friday. It's a meh today. I came in third in the all white contest. Only 3 people entered so I'm last. The best rank I got in a contest is 19th. Oh well this doesn't count though. Hopefully I'll get the mystery box, the Vader Lamp scares me. heh...

Not a lot of people like my Cobra Chick out of the two sites I posted them at. Only Wes, Bigraj, and Mr. Taliesin Crow commented. I guess that's better than nothing though. Thanks guys.

Next months contest, oh wait, this months contest is a villains contest. Hopefully I'll enter the Cobra Chick and finish my Dr. Doom that I have been working on throughout the year. Doom is probably one of my biggest customs, like in sculpting, kitbashing, etc. I sculpted the head, Ring Wraith's hood, hands, and legs, and XMC Magneto's cape. The top half of the body is an Old Batman figure that was majorly damaged, so I just resculpted some parts. I need to get some green paint before Michael's sale runs out.

Hmm, what else is going on this week...Well today they are finishing the driveway and back porch. My dad hired them and boy, does he treat guests well. He buys them food everyday. It's going to be a huge ass parking lot, twice as large, twice the car parking. Which fits well with our party in a couple of weeks for my cousin!

Tomorrow me and my cousin have TKD, and man we are awesome at the Eskrima Stick. People say it's hard, but all it is, is striking and having a good stance. On Tuesday we learned Redondo Redondo, which is a strike down but you bring it back like a train movement in a circular motion.

I will be having pictures on the bottom that I will link to other websites, be sure check them out as I update them. Happy Friday, be safe, DTM out...

Cobra Chick ready, but no pics yet

Damn, I tried to get my sisters camera, but it's not in her room. Time to ask really nicely, and if she does let me then success! I'll probably be entering her in the Figure Realm Villains Contest. Hopefully She'll be good to win in the top 3. I made a belt with foam pouches. And printed out a Cobra Symbol and superglued it to her chest. Weird people keep saying superglue will run through the ink. Nothing happened to mine. Once I get pics I'll post it here, so no one will know my custom, maybe someone will visit from there though. Whoever saw this post comment, so I know if you're FR or CC. heh

HISS Tank

I got the Target Exclusive a while back, I was crazy when this came out and I visited Target every week until I found one, and only one on the shelf. The HISS Tank is a rerelease of the original vehicle. Except none of that building, which I really would've liked. I'm a sucker for things that I assemble. The Tank body is a dark blue, the treads are black as well as the turret/ gun/ cannons. The only thing that is pure vintage is the sticker applications. When in the box one half of the vehicle is already stickered. It's a pain in the ass to make the stickers even. Still it's a good homage. The turret and elevate up or down and can do a 360 turn, the treads have wheels that allow it to roll. The cockpit shield has a tint and can open.

The HISS Tank is the figure and the driver is the accessory? Or the other way around? Well Packed in with the HISS Tank is a the HISS Driver. He's a standard Cobra Trooper just repainted and stripped of any weapons. He'll give you the death stare but that's about it. The shirt is a light grey, his pants is black with grey camo designs. The boots, gloves, suspender belt, helmet, and mask are black too. His helmet has a grey crest in the middle. His suspender belt has some silver clasps and buckle, the clips on the shirt collar is silver too. It's removable as well as the helmet. The helmet is made from softer plastic than other troopers, it's flimsy and it looks a bit bigger. To get the bugger in I usually bend his feet and push him in. Sometimes his legs are a bit long and he can't actually sit, he's more hovering above the seat.

This is a great vehicle and a nice paint job for the figure, it was only $10. So if the figure was $5 or $6 without his weapons, the tank must be $4 or $5, so it's a great deal. The other versions that are coming out are in all black or red. Different drivers too... if you can get one for cheap then get it, but don't buy it above $20 or even $15. DTM out...

Custom Supply Hauls

Today I got some paint at Michaels, 2 for 1. I got the wrong red though, it's supposed to be used on glass. It ended up being sticky on Vulcan Spider Man, but I painted it over with my left over Testors Gloss Red. I bought a palette for my paints pretty handy, pain in the "A" to clean. I for some brushes too, some are ok. A medium straight, a small point, and a huge bush type brush. The others included is like a duster, I use it for dusting off after sanding. The other stuff is foam on a stick and two triangle shaped foam for mixing paint. All together 4 brushes 3 mixers, for $.99.

First one to notice

Yesterday I reviewed the Firefly vs. Storm Shadow Comic Pack. Well that Uzi, it belonged to Storm Shadow in the comic. In the package Firefly was holding it. Well That Uzi fits perfectly well into Storm Shadow's backpack. You can see a feint line that outlines an Uzi shape. It has grooves that help make it fit perfectly. Well I just wanted to point that out to you, incase no one knew that.

Hauls

I didn't go to Target today, which is probably ok, but I did go to Walmart and scored the Clone Scuba Trooper and Firefly vs Storm Shadow Comic Pack.

I already have a Firefly and Storm Shadow, but these guys are mostly new with new accessories.

Firefly- Reused body, he comes with a detachable vest, belt, goggles and backpack. His guns is his original pistol, an Uzi and a machine gun with a scope and laser. The back pack has a stand that can collapse, so he can stand it if he wants. The backpack can also open up, awesome! Inside you'll find something that looks like a silver Swiss army knife. It has a wrench the the end and a knife on the other. A red gas carton, tan explosives and a black flash light. All are removable so that's really cool.

Storm Shadow- Looks like a new head, his body is a reuse of Gung-Ho, the thighs are a Cobra Troopers, The shins, feet and crotch seem to be new. His new accessories are two comas with a long string attaching them. A three bladed hand weapon. His backpack can hold his two samurai swords. The swords have sculpted dragon heads on the end and the handle is braided nicely. His backpack opens, but nothing is removable, though Firefly makes up for that. Inside there are various ninja stuff like, spiked knuckles, those anchor things that help you walk on top of buildings, pouches and other stuff. The inside is patterned with braids too. On the bottom he has sculpted ropes, I don't think it's supposed to be detachable but it comes off easily. It's held by two pegs, mine wasn't fully painting, it's sculpted white though, but maybe they had an idea of it becoming removable. His shoulder armor, chest apparel, is removable. The peg is on the back.

The Scuba Trooper is something I expected, he's cool, but you know, he's not that cool. Well not to me. I really like the design, but it's too simple for me or more or less cartoonish. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that though...The detail is there though. Turbines, fins, hoses. The gun is oversized. It reaches up to the eye slits. Holding it is awkward The stock bends if he tried to hold the barrel, it's best holding it with one hand. The ball jointed neck and the torso can let him pose like he's cruising through the sea. Awesome! The feet fin can come off. They slide in and peg in under the feet, it's secured nicely. You can take off the backpack and fins to make him like a totally new trooper, but the hoses don't attach to anything so it looks funny.

I really like my hauls, the Scuba Trooper could've been better. The Firefly and Storm Shadow is a must have, they are really awesome. Scuba Trooper 8.5/10, Comic Pack 10/10

SDCC and more

Hey guys, Happy Friday!

SDCC looks crazy, I mean crazy all these great Marvel Legends and most of them are exclusives. Pisses me off, come one Hasbro don't take the Toybiz root with their Giant Man series. I couldn't find crap when they did that. Hopefully my Walmarts and Targets won't be bitches and actually have them in stock. And Hasbro these things better not be is limited quantities. Ughh, I had to let that loose...Well the have the Scorpion Venom coming out in the Spider Man series. Looks cool...

Other stuff like GI Joe and Transformers look awesome. The Pilot Scarlett is sexy, the Zartan is cool. Storm Shadow mask will look awesome on him.

Well I have one custom to show you guys, she's not fully finished though, I'll show you guys a sneak peek at her. I have no idea why she's posting above there...Well anyways, I've added a belt on her, a loose one, so it's not actually glued on to her. I am trying to work on a Cobra symbol, I mean it's hard to sculpt, using foam and penning the detail in doesn't work. I can't seem to find a Cobra Symbol for me to glue onto her either. Bummer...
Next week starting Sunday, Michael's will be having a sale on Apple Barrel paints, 2 for $1. I think it's for the $.79 ones. The flat paints? I don't know... I am working on my Vulcan Spider Man, instead of the glossy black I have no painted it flat black and the armor will still be glossy red. Also working on my first custom, I am remaking him since he was the first custom I made I used duct tape instead of sculpt. I personally think he's still my favorite before Vulcan SM. Xorn is still in the WiP bin, I had no yellow for his ripped shirt. Zod...I have no idea about Zod, he's one hard custom to make and paint.
Well see you guys later, maybe I'll post a hauling list tomorrow if I get anything at Target. DTM out...

Power Girl

Well she just arrived in the mail today. Pretty nice figure, thanks Taliesin Crow! I paid $7 for her. $5 was the shipping, ouch, but I think it was a good deal since I couldn't find her cheaper. I had to fix some stuff up, but now she's looking hot.

She stands at 6 3/8 inches, she fits in with Marvel Legends figures perfectly. She has an awesome sculpt. A updated version of the original character art. She has sculpted silver zippers on her gloves and boots. The gloves and boots aren't zipped up al lthe way. They have good sculpt showing the flaps going down and having a split at where the zipper should be. The gloves have lines so it looks like it's sewn together. She is wearing high heel boots, the have curved designs on them.

Her suit has various raised lines, going down and one going around her breast area. Her famous "over sized" boobs are sculpted nicely, with curves that look real. The "open view" lets us look at her cleavage, hubba hubba...heh.

The face sculpt is good, she looks cute and sexy at the same time. The hair is sculpted in two pieces, one sculpted on the actual head, and one part that is glued on to the back. The part sculpted on the head has a bang going down to her nose. Her rope that holds her shoulder pad on her left side is nicely sculpted with the angles that a rope has. The cape is rubber and it is molded in folds. The belt is made from soft plastic. It isn't glued on or anything, it just moves about.

The paint is good. They paint is so realistic. The hair is blonde with some light brown in there. The eyes are a nice blue, her eyes have individual eye lashes that are painted crisp, the eye shadow is black too. Her lipstick is a light pink. The belt is red and the buckle is gold. The ropes and shoulder pad is gold and the cape is red. The overall color for her costume is white. The gloves and boots are not the regular blue, it's gloss blue. It looks real like leather.

She comes with a stand that says Infinite Crisis. It looks like it's supposed to have a peg for her to stand and connect to her right foot. Maybe Taliesin lost it? Careful standing her up, her boobs can make her tip over sometimes. Don't put her forward too much or backward too much. That's what the base is for, but no peg...

She's a beautiful figure, I wish she was real, but this is real enough. My first DC Direct figure and I am impressed. I say get this figure, despite some minor stuff I had to fix. 9.9 out of 10, I love this figure that much. ( . )( . ), hell yes...DTM out...

What? Liar?

Yes I am not a kid of my words. I will be finishing customs today and hopefully post them sometimes this week. Some figures include Movie Zod, Xorn, Cobra Chick, Some original customs...I'll try at my Movie Zod though, he won't be a perfect custom since I sculpted mostly everything, plus I sculpted his head on a black head, so...Xorn has interchangeable heads. From His Magneto head, his Xorn helmet and his black hole type head. Cobra chick is done practically, still need to paint her mask on, add a suspender belt, maybe...and then find a gun or just sculpt one...yeah, that's about it, thanks all, hopefully everything will be worth the wait.

Every check out the new comic crypt, it looks awesome now. Cool new features too.

Saturday, Saturday...

Regular Saturday, went to Karate. I met my instructor, who became a police officer. He was probably my favorite and best instructor. My cousin and I met him before class and we were talking about the new Dark Knight movie. I never saw it yet, but my cousin did. To be honest it sounds like a good movie from hearing all the rave of Harvey Dent being dead or not, Joker, and Scarecrow's cameo. We then talked about Marvel, in which my cousin lacks knowledge of, heh. My instructor was excited on hearing the upcoming Avengers movie. And he didn't even know about Deadpool's spin off after Wolverine's Origin Movie. We verbally attacked my cousin when he said the Avengers suck! He paid for it, heh. Nice guy, comic fan like me. Chooses Marvel over DC, we have some things in common.

Well after that, I made a decision, to stick with Testors or choose a new brand. Testors is not "producing" any near my area. Of course there is Enamel paint, but would I really want to do that? I still have some gloss paint, but it got "blah" after using it for countless customs. So I made the decision to get some new brand of paint. Seeing, and comparing I know other top ones that are like testors and cheap are folk art and apple barrel. Folk art had a good selection, so did apple barrel. Folk art was $1.19 for a bottle, pretty big, bigger than testors, way bigger. Then Apple Barrel had them for $.79, same size too. And to my surprise I got them. I got FLAT blue, FLAT black, antique white, and pewter grey. No more gloss! I tested it out on my Cobra chick, and it was really good. I dries fast, smooth, and flat!. Nice paint, cheap, I wanted to get more, but I'll just wait til i run out or if I need more. I can finally continue my work with black and red customs. Oh wait, I forgot to get red...hrmm....

Happy B-Day Bigraj! Have a good one.

Well that probably wraps up for today, I'm still looking for something to review... give me Monday and I'll have two reviews. Yes I hate reading too, but I'll have a good review. DTM out...

Friday Updates

Well happy Friday guys!

Dark Knight...who seen this movie, I for one didn't. The crowds are crazy from what I heard of.

The TFAC Doc mail in figure is still shipping by this September. People wanted and Hasbro delivered.

The Hellboy figures are continuing with series 2, it has Kirk's most wanted figure, the Black shirted Hellboy.

I haven't heard much news this week, or not that I remember. Hmm...

I am working on a 6 inch scale Female Cobra Trooper, she is going to look hot, sculpted hew boobs and butt. Can't figure on how to make the helmet since I want it to be removable, but by the look of her hair, the helmet is going to look huge...

I just set my money to Taliesin Crow for the Girl with the erm...boobs...I know some people would probably know who it is.

Well I am off to work on my Female Trooper. Have a nice Friday and be safe.

( . )( . )

She's coming, the girl with the erm... boobs...

thanks Taliesin Crow...

Crimson Guard 32 1/2 Comic Pack

I'll be reviewing The Crimson Guard from the 32 1/2 comic pack, he was packed with the Scar-Face Cobra Trooper. Crimson Guards were usually people who went under surgery to have the same face as any other Siegie unmasked. All of their names were Fred, and they sported a red head look.

This Siegie uses the same body as any other 25th anniversary Siegie, same color scheme as the Siegie Trooper (check last review with the Crimson 3 pack...). Mostly same accessories too. What's cool about this figure is the removable helmet, to reveal Fred. The helmet and mask are all one piece, molded in the Crimson Red with the black helmet painted on, it lacks the silver visor though. Fred is revealed as a dirty blond. Not accurate to the red head, but still a nice feature to have. With the regular Siegie, his neck is painted Crimson Red, but this version he has a skin painted neck, so you can lave him helmetless without having him wearing a turtle neck, but it looks funny and bare when he has it on.

The accessories, consist of the regular backpack, revolver, and instead of the battle rifle with the knife on the end, he has a rifle that looks somewhat like an M1 Garand, which is one of my favorite guns. He can hold it, but he can't hold it like he's aiming, the handle is like a shotgun, how it holds at the angle. He can hold it like he can shoot with one hand, or hold near his waist, or even a reloading style position. Something I forgot to mention in the previous TFAC review, is that mostly all figures include a stand with their name. Except maybe the figures with a vehicle.

This is a great figure, pretty cool army builder, I have three of them now, but they are getting rereleased later on. The next army builder for me will probably be the Hiss Tank Driver, The Vipers, and later on the Iron Grenadiers. If I could find any of them which I hope since they will be in comic packs and the TRU 3 pack exclusive. The Vipers and Hiss Driver, I can't find. If anyone has extras or just even one of each I would be thankful, if you could offer me one... Well this is a great figure 9.5 out of 10 for him. The holding problem and the hair is a bit of problematic, but it's a good figure despite that.

TRU Crimson 3 Pack Exclusive

Hey everyone, I will be reviewing the TRU Crimson Exclusive. Hopefully these are still at your TRU, mine sold out of these, but they do have the blue Cobra Commander with the Standard Troopers and the GI Joe 3 pack.

Well this exclusive is part of the 25th Anniversary. It contains the Cobra Commander, Crimson Guard Trooper, and Crimson Guard Officer. They are packed in these clear plastic tubes, with a shelf like cardboard for the back and bottom. It's a nice packaging, but one giant hassle to open, A lot of tape and what not.

The Cobra Commander is a rerelease of the first series Commander. It's just painting a different color, the majority of the new paint is the crimson red, his gloves, boots, gun, and various pockets are painted black. His belts are gold, the glove trimmings are silver as well as the Cobra Symbol on his chest. The cool thing is that he can store his weapon just like the old toy, on his back. The articulation is a Ball joint: head, hips, torso, Ball hinged: shoulders, elbows, ankles, Swivel: forearm, Double Jointed: knees. It's a nice figure if you don't have this mold version of the Commander.

The Crimson Guards both use the same mold, with different paint. For the Crimson Guard Trooper his color scheme is, crimson red for the majority of the body, black shoulder pads with silver, the rope that goes around the right arm is gold. He has silver trimmings on his forearms, and black gloves. His head has a silver crest on the helmet, silver visor and black mask. His chest has a really good sculpted badges with silver, red, blue and purple. His buttons around his shirt are silver. The belt is black, as well as his boots. His pants have 2 silver lines running down his leg. The buttons on his boots are silver too.

For the Officer his color scheme is the same except the mask and crest on his helmet is gold, the visor is black. The chest is black, the shoulder is the same with the gold replacing silver. The belt is gold, the lines on his pants are gold, and the buttons are gold. His forearm stripes are gold too.

The accessories are the same, both have well sculpted back packs, with ridges and a cobra emblem. The guns look like a revolver and a battle rifle with a knife hooked on the end. They can store the revolver in his holster, it is kind of loose, but it can fit.

It's a nice pack to get, around $15 (I think, I lost my receipt it was a long time since I got it). Great army builder too. I really like the Siegies, they are cool looking. This set is good, so get it before it sells out.

Pitt with the kid...

Well here is the Pitt Review from the Pitt series.

Pitt is an alien, his alien race abducted the kid's mom and Pitt was later born. Thus making him the kid's "half" brother. Whatever, it's confusing. And I'll probably be using "the kid" because I forgot his name, Timmy, Tommy? I have no clue anymore...

Well Pitt is a massive BAF. He's not tall but stubby. He's like Hulk, short but huge muscles. The BAf contains 6 pieces. His right and left arms, torso and head, abs and waist, and right and left legs. His pony tail could to a 360 turn.

He's well articulated, "standard" articulation with out the double jointed knees and elbows. His hands are like Savage Dragon's but without the thumb articulation. The kid doesn't have any articulation he is just a standing statue in a shocked face stance.

The paint is good, grey with a redish skintone. His jacket is black with a plad red inside the jacket. His eyes and gums are red, and his teeth are white with some grey on the top half. His chains are all rubber with silver and a black wash. His jeans are dark blue with a black wash. Sometimes I spot uneven washes in the skin, which is ok if I don't look at it for minutes.

The sculpt is awesome, a lot of veins and rips. His skin also has some wrinkles. The face is sculpted with crazy wrinkles giving him a vicious look.

I think this is a good figure to go get the rest of the series. I got the whoel series for about $36 so it was cheaper than the original $60. You guys should get him, it's really worth it to find him for cheap, 10 out of 10

Three Reviews of Madness

heh, well let's get started:

Madman: His paint is white with a light bluish tint. You could hardly see it. His hair is black with a dark brown wash. His shoes are black as well as the trimmings, eye rings, lips. The gloves are blue with a black wash. His rip in his mask also shows his blue skin. The Madman Symbol is red. He has standard articulation. Nothing special. He comes with a Ray Gun that is red with some silver stripes and barrel. He's a real nice figure no flaws, so he gets a 10 out of 10.

Savage Dragon: He's moulded green, he has black chest and arm hair that is individually painted. His eyes are greenish blue and his eyebrows are black. His jeans are blue with a black wash, the belt is black with a silver buckle; and his shoes are black with white stripes and toes. They look like Adidas Shell Tops. His joints are ratchet in the arms. He comes with finger joints that bend like our hand. But other than that, standard joints. Cool figure, nice paint detail. 10 out of 10.

Witchblade: Best paint out of all figures in this series. The Witchblade armor is bronze with greyish wash. Some are sculpted and some are painted. The painted parts are crisp. Nothing bleeding. The right and left arm have some Witchblade jewels that are painted in red and maybe a clear coat, it looks shiny. The hair is brown with black wash, Her eyes are brown and the lips are a deep red. Eyebrows are black and she has some eye shadow. Standard articulation for a female, except the bicep and forearm articulation, due to the armor, but I think they could have had it. Her eyes do look slanted like an Asian, but it doesn't bother me much. Nice figure, nice detail, 9.9 out of 10, heh, the arm POA is a minus .1 if it's possible.

I hope you like the reviews, these were really short. I am working on a custom that has to be done by the end of the month to enter in the contest. I want to win the prize too, whatever the prize is, it has yet to be announced. Wish me luck!

Friday's Update

In turn of not reviewing the Ripclaw I will review my new Prowl that I got at TRU.

First off, it is true they are out, which is awesome to know. I saw all of them there except the Ultras and son on, though there was Legends...

Well Prowl, is a police car, but on his side doors it says Highway Patrol and Underneath it says Police. Mostly white paint with black going around the bottom half of the car. His rear wind shield is painted brownish, but the front and door windows have a foggy tint. His front lights are clear and his back lights are red. He also has a black spoiler on the back.

Transformation is a bit hard to explain since it does have a couple of steps that can be confusing, but it's a fair transformation, just watch out for the doors as they pop out easy and the arms have a lot of twisting and turning, and the doors don't help with that...His head comes out from the hood, doors turn into wings, arms fold from underneath, back half becomes legs, and the weapon is stored underneath car mode.

Robot mode, is awesome. It has a nice homage to the G1 counterpart. The head, wings, and shoulder blasters or as they call it Acid Blasters. The weapon folds out to become his gun. Articulation is nice. His shoulder have multiple of joints, though some are part of the transformation. His shoulders has swivel back and forth, hinged up and down, or do a 360 swivel, but limited because of the wings. There is another joint to allow in and out motion too. His biceps swivel and the elbow has one hinged joint. His wrist is a swivel. Swivel waist, ball joint hips, double knees, a rocker knee, but limited and also a forward/ backward hinge, also limited because of the car parts hindering it.

Overall this is an awesome figure, though my only complaint is the weapon storage. It folds up and the barrel part is help by two plastic prongs which is a bit wide for it to attach sturdy. If you shake the vehicle it will most likely fall off. But despite that I give him a high 10 out of 10. I really like this figure, both modes are great and you should pick him up! DTM out...

No review today...

Well I am maknig a custom out of my Rip Claw so he won't be reviewed today, but do, check out the review on http://oafe.net. He's under the Legendary Heroes in the review lick to the left.

Well today is Friday though, here are some reported toys that are out now.

For TFs the new classics 2.0 are out. The TF Animated Series 2 is out too, but I haven't seen either yet. I am going to TRU today so I mgiht check it out if they have any left since it's been a week or so since the report.

Marvel Legends! The Fin Fang Foom series is out, a hell lot of figures to buy, I think 8? The two packs are reportedly out, the Elektra and Ronin, Captain American and Ultimate Nick Fury...

The new Hellboy: The Golden Army figures (comes out today) are out, Bigraj has The Wink and he is huge, so huge I think he should be a BAF...

GI Joes are out. Everything is out like some of the new vehicles, the series with the Bat. Damn I missed out through the other 4 waves? I never seen any near me other than the Duke with the booster pack and his flag. everyone ate up all the Vipers and Hiss Drivers...

Well I think that's about it. I haven't read much news this week, these are the only ones that stick out to me...Happy Friday, DTM out...

LCBH Series 1 Super Patriot (variant)

Well this is the second review of my Pitt Series reviews. This is Super Patriot and is licensed by Erik Larsen. The variant version features an unmasked Super Patriot over his usual appearance with a flag type mask donned on his head. Plus his hands are switched with the gun being on his right arm in the non variant, it's now on his left arm and much bigger, and the hand is now on his right hand and it has "claws" instead of the humanoid hand.

Well the only human thing about him is the face, though it's covered up by some wires. His eyes are covered by goggles. He only has hair on the top that is pulled back into a pony tail. He's wearing a tan shirt, and American styled shoulder pads. His arms and legs have panel and cybernetic wiring, and the detail is really good because of the wash bringing it out. He has a belt with pouches and his "underwear" has a star right near his groin, it must be a target or something, hehe...oh and stripes are coming out of that star...

Well paint is good, white hair, peachish skin tone, and the wires on his head are dark grey, the goggles are goldish. His shirt is tan with a darker tan for a wash, the shoulder pads are red, white and blue. This is the same colors for his "underwear". His arms are silver with a black wash. His belt is dark brown with a black wash and the buckle is a dirty silver, which was probably slapped on... Watch out for his head if you get this version, the grey seems to smear.

Articulation:
Neck: Ball Joint
Shoulder pads: Hinged
Shoulder: Ball Hinged
Bicep: Swivel
Elbow: Double Hinged
Forearm: Swivel (right arm only)
Wrist Hinged (right arm only)
Knuckles: Hinged (right arm only)
Abs: Rocker Hinge
Waist: Swivel
Hips: Ball hinged
Thighs: Swivel
Knee Double joint
Shins: Swivel
Ankles: Hinged and Rocker
Toes: Hinged

He comes with Pitt's left arm, I'll review Pitt's articulation when his review comes...

This is a nice figure, nice paint, and typical articulation. I'd give him a 9.5 out of 10. Mine has a grey smear near his lip and hair, and his right leg is hardly washed with black, it makes it look darker on his left leg which was washed to match his limbs. But either way it would deserve more, so watch for the paint before purchasing, I also got him for $6.95 at KB Toys so that gave him the extra .5 for the total score. Well I hope you like the review, if you want a review of any figure in this series post a comment now and I'll review that figure tomorrow, DTM out

LCBH Series 1 Judge Dredd

Well I will now be reviewing figures from the past and present everyday, or sometimes a week until I run out. This review of the LCBH (Legendary Comic Book Heroes) Series 1 will take a week with the 6 figures and the BAF (Build A Figure). Today I'll be reviewing Judge Dredd.

Judge Dredd is a character from 2000 AD, he is one of the judges that give order in Mega-City One. The figure is really comic accurate, with the famed helmet, the guns and the huge shoulder pads. All are new sculpts, nothing was reused from the old Toybiz Marvel Legends figure except the use of the Longshot body. The head is made of clear plastic painted on top of. You can barely see his eyes and eye brows, but they are painted, nice detail! He has a badge on his chest that says Dredd, it does have an eagle and the American shield that looks like Marvel's Patriot shield. His right shoulder pad is in a shape of an eagle and his left is the pad with raised ridges. His elbow pads and knee pads follow a similar design. His gloves has sculpted pockets, his belt has sculpted pockets and an eagle belt buckle with an American flag type pentagon. The belt also has a holster for his gun. His boots also have holsters on each side for his "Law Giver" gun and a knife.

His color scheme is black with blue tint body. Goldish yellow shoulder pads, badge, belt buckle, and the ridge on his helmet. Green with a black wash on the gloves belt, knee pads, and boots. The helmet is dark blue with red out lining over the eyes and the yellow stated above; on the ridge near his forehead area.

Articulation is a ball-hinged neck, ratchet shoulder joint (it's restricted by the shoulder pads, can't go 360 degrees), swivel bicep, double hinged elbow, swivel wrist. He has a hinged abs, swivel waist, ball-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double jointed knees, swivel shins, hinged ankle with side hinge, and his toes have a hinge as well. Nothing new, regular Toybiz articulation.

His guns are the Lawgiver with silver and black wash, and the knife is serrated. He can hold "only one" gun at a time, his right hand is sculpted for the gun because of his trigger finger, the left hand is sculpted for the knife. He comes with Pitt's right leg, it has the grey skin of Pitt with a blackish wash. The ripped jeans have blue with a wash, and the chains are silver with a black wash.

Well for this figure I'd give a 9.5 out of 10. The restricted shoulder joints are kind of hurting it. You can still find these figures at Walmart and KB Toys. Walmart are selling them for $7, but some stores sold them for the regular $10. I got Judge Dredd at KB for $6.95, or something, so I for the series a bit cheaper. Well hope you readers like this, DTM out...

Hello and Welcome

Well I made a blog and it looks decent. Has the feeling of an online diary, haha. Well I hope everyone enjoys it, I'll post stuff later on and hopefully be up to date with current stuff
